How to set up IPTV on Amazon Fire TV & Firestick

Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube and Fire TV built into a television.

Before you begin

Amazon Fire TV & Firestick

Fire TV devices are the route most of our customers take, because a stick turns almost any TV with an HDMI port into a streaming device. Players are installed from the Amazon Appstore, or sideloaded using Amazon’s own Downloader app.

  • You will need A compatible IPTV player from the Appstore, or sideloaded with Downloader.
  • Worth knowing Sideloading requires turning on “Apps from Unknown Sources” in the device settings. Our guide shows exactly where that setting lives.
  • Roughly fifteen minutes Most of which is the channel list and program guide loading for the first time.

You need an active subscription first. The steps below assume you already have the playlist details we send once an order is confirmed. If you do not have them yet, start with a plan.

Step by step

Setting up on Amazon Fire TV & Firestick

  1. Allow apps from unknown sources (only if you are sideloading) From the Fire TV home screen go to Settings, then My Fire TV, then Developer Options, and turn on “Apps from Unknown Sources”. If you are installing a player straight from the Amazon Appstore you can skip this entirely.
  2. Install a player Search the Amazon Appstore for an IPTV player and install it. If the one you want is not listed in your region, install Amazon’s own Downloader app and use it to fetch the player’s installer file instead.
  3. Open the player and add your subscription Choose the option to add a playlist or a new user, then enter the details we sent you. Where the player offers a code-based sign-in from a phone, use it — typing a long address with the Fire TV remote is slow and mistakes are easy to miss.
  4. Let the list load, then restart the app The first load takes the longest because it pulls the full channel list and the program guide. Once it finishes, close the player and open it again so the guide settles.
  5. Pin it to your home row Hold the menu button on the player’s icon and move it to the front of the app row, so you are not hunting for it every evening.

Setting up somewhere else as well?

The same subscription details work on every device. How many can play at once depends on your plan, so check with us first.

Smart TVs

Samsung, LG, Sony, Hisense, TCL and other connected sets.

Most modern smart TVs can install an IPTV player from their own app store. Once it is installed, you enter the playlist details we send you and the channel list loads on the TV itself — no extra box, no cables.

Android TV & Google TV

Android TV boxes, Google TV sets and Android-powered projectors.

Android TV gives you the widest choice of player apps, and most of them support an electronic program guide and resume-where-you-stopped playback. Install from Google Play and sign in with the details we send.

Apple TV

Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K running tvOS.

Apple TV supports IPTV players published on the tvOS App Store. Sideloading is not possible on tvOS, so you install one of the players Apple has approved and enter your playlist details there.
